Well this is the first chance that I have had any time to sit down and write an update on life.

My life seems to be never ending, work/school/work/school/work/sleep/school/school/work. You get the point. So that's what I'm going to talk about with a few things in between.School: I am still here at LCCC knocking out more classes on the CMNW program. Today I found out that the Akron program that I was to transfer to has been canceled so now I have to figure out where I am headed that way. So since I last wrote about school it has been two semesters I believe. This is a recap of what has happened which is not much... just the same old.

Fall 2007-2008: Grades: Again straight B's CMNW 101:B CMNW 141:B Math:B and English 162:B
Summer 2008: Class List: Macro-Economics, Electrical Circuits 1, and Math.
============Math==========
Math was by far the easiest math course I have ever taken. It was online through course compass, and open book/calculator.
========Macro-Economics====
Econ was just econ... You had 3 tests with a quiz over every chapter. We could take each quiz multiple times, but they were different questions. These questions made up a test bank that was usable for the test. If you had constant 90%s on the quizzes you were set for the tests.
=======Elect-Circuits 1=======
This was one of the hardest classes I had ever taken in my life. We were taking this course "blended" which meant that we taught ourselves everything then came to class two nights a week to do Lab. It was horribly hard to teach something that I had no understanding at all to my self, and the teacher did not understand the level of help the entire class needed until the last 2 weeks.

Summer 2008 Grades: All A's, This was a great help to my GPA (How I pulled an A in Circuits, don't ask/don't tell, haha)

Work: Work has been work. (Wow that really says alot) I have been doing everything I can to fix up the building and fix up the way somethings are done. I happen to care about things that others just don't or don't have time to care about. I feel this is a quality that will hopefully take me far. While Everyone was at National competitions, Jennifer and I were holding down the fort and we decided that we were going to order Lighting Gels to redo the entire set of 150 lights for our light show. We hadn't had anytime to cut and install them though. Well, Fred and Karin went to Hawaii and we had a slow Friday night, so we finally got them done, and boy was it a surprise to them when they got back. I was worried that they wouldn't like it, because Rex did, haha. (Rex if your reading no offense, but you don't like anything your dad does.)

In the next few weeks, before we get overly swamped, we need to take time to look over the music situation and straighten up the laptop/Its got a horrible "nervous tick" per se.

Gaming/Business: Can you even say those words in the same sentence? Well I can. Currently I am looking for all the information on starting an Internet Gaming Cafe and Lan Party Center. It is going to take quite a while from the looks of the 50 pages of forms we need to fill out (not joking in the least bit). And there are a LOT of legal hoops to jump through, Plus I need to continue school, and working at the Rink, so I can have enough money for this business, whenever I find time/money to start it up. But again its all in the future.

Well I will try to take some more time to write blogs, maybe do some product reviews or what in the near future. I don't like leaving this site sit here.

Ohio Weather, and Ohio Primaries

Cleveland Rocks, Cleveland Rocks, Cleveland (weather sucks)... That should say it all. I must say this school year, we have had more "Snow Days" then I ever had in high school.

(Click to see Picture)

Now I said I was going to talk about the elections...Well Hillary won Ohio and Texas so her campaign was restored... YAY!!!

Now, North Ridgeville City Schools lost by 500+ votes. What is wrong with you people??? The middle school has black mold, and probably abstesos (or however you spell that) and the high school is too cramped. Plus to boot last election it only lost by 68 votes, so What the Fuck happened?

Anyway, Work-- Friday we left because of weather, Saturday Morning No session and Saturday evening guys night is still going on. I was scheduled to work all of Today (Saturday) but I couldn't go anywhere because the plow hasn't gone down our street and such. I hope to be back tomorrow, as I am DJing, so I hope to see you all there. Session is from 2-5pm and Admission is 4 dollars.

Its been a while!!!

Well, it has been about 3 weeks since I last blogged. This blog is going to be a quick update then I might blog on one or two other things tomorrow that really piss me off. (actually one of them will be talked about tonight)School: We are about to start the fourth week of the semester. The first three weeks yielded fairly good grades. With the exception of one Lab I have gotten 90%s on everything. The other lab was just 88% (This made me mad because it was just for stupid things like labeling the COM ports as DB9 serial ports (which is what they are) and such)

Tomorrow I get my First test back in math so that will let me know where I stand. My comptuer class that is on campus is very very boring and redundant but life goes on.

I have found out that available to me through the school is discounted software and much of it is free. I have found that the new web development software is free and as soon as they sign me up I will be getting it. Hopefully this website will be designed a lot better with more applications.

My last note for school tonight is: All my high school career we didn't get school canceled even if everyone else did, but the first year I am in college bam canceled and of course LCCC isnt on the list yet. I guess ill go to bed with hope and see what happens.

Work:has been pretty good. I broke my skate friday night but it is now fixed and all is well. Hours are picking up for me which is great. Now is the part where I advertise :)

Tuesdays: Tuesdays are $2 tuesday. From 6:30-8:30 Admission-$2 Skate or Inline Rental-$2 Lazer Tag-$2 Rock Climbs(x2)-$2 Small Pops(x2)-$2
(I am working on Tuesday the 12th, and will change this when i know what other tuesdays i am working)

Saturday Feb 16: Blackout from 7:30pm-2:00am Admission is 10 Dollars or Skate until 11 for 6 dollars. Lazer Tag is 3 Dollars, and the Rock is 2 Dollars.
(I am working Saturday Morning from 1-5 and Saturday Evening for the blackout as well)

March 8th: Guy's night, Guys get in Free until 9pm. After that they pay 6 Dollars. Ladies pay 6 Dollars all night. Lazer Tag is 3 Dollars, and the Rock is 2 Dollars.

School and Other

Hey all, I just thought I would update on the first week of school.

So far I think it will be an easy semester with the exception for my online A+ class. This semester I am taking a special topics English course, where we read, talk, and write about Science Fiction (my favorite topic). It is with the same teacher as last semester so it is going to be pretty easy, with the exception of an Oral Report, and if any of you know me, you know I hate speaking to big groups of people. But i should do ok.

Math, is going to be really easy because from the first two classes, I can tell that the teacher is going to be a big help, and he will take his time with the students. And, so far from what I can tell everything is related in terms to measurements. (Hence applied tech math I guess)
Then we have my two computer classes. I have one on campus and one online. The on-campus class is "Computer Diagnostic and Repair (CMNW 141)" and the Online Class is "A+ Part 1(CMNW 101)" and from what I can tell they are 99% parallel, and 90% of the material I know. CMNW 141 has lecture on tuesday and lab on thursday. We already had one lab and It was basically taking apart a comptuer and putting it back together. As my friends know this was something to sleep through. I have build 6 computers in the last 7 years, and repaired many more then that. I have also been working with computers since i was 2 or 3 years old. I am lucky to have a family with many "Computer geeks" in it.

Now the CMNW 101 class gave me the wrong impression from first reading the syllabus but seems fairly easy. I at first had thought that two chapters were due every week but we only turn in our homework every two weeks, so it breaks down to a chapter a week. (that doesn't mean i intend to wait that long though)

So thats it so far about school, now on to work. So far it is going great. Im hoping to pickup some more hours soon though. I just bought some new skates with my grandma so I need to go get them, then all will be well. Me + quads = disaster, but anyway I did my first solo DJ friday, and it went well with the exception that I still do not know where the music is, because Rexx..... Has a hundred folders that go (music 1, music 2, music 4, new music, new new music, new new new stuff) and so on and on. So It takes a bit to get peoples requests in but ill get to know it.

And I've asked everywhere else but if anyone wants to go skating Monday from 2:30-5:30pm let me know, I am NOT working and would like to break in my new skates, so let me know tonight (sunday) so I can go get them. It would be 4 dollars and what ever for what ever else you want. If you need to rent skates its more, and inlines its like 2 dollars more.

Writers Strike

So I decided to find out when the new season of "Heroes" would air. Low and behold the writers are assholes and they are all on strike. The next season will not air until late 2008 even if the strike were to end tonight. If anyone reading watch heroes, they know that "Heroes" has a reputation for endings that leave you hanging. Well boy did the last one and I'm a little pissed that it wont air. I know somethings are out of our control but please stupid ass writers, take the money you get paid and get back to doing the only thing your good at, WRITING HEROES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was one of my suckish (and rather ill-imformed) rants, but i thought this may bring out some decent discussion.

New Year---New Job

New Year---New Job
Well Kind of...

First Night: I started my new (first) job at the Roll Arena on December 29th 2007. All went well. Rexx showed me the basic ropes of the place and everything about DJing at the Roll Arena. No major problems, we found out I was a bit Microphone Shy even though im a big mouth at home, but that is already on its way out.

Job Functions: DJ, Skate Rental, Floor Gaurd (I need to get me a pair of skates), The Rock, and Laser Tag. Im sure ill probably get to do snack bar and pro shop somewhere in that mix.

As the DJ we have to clean the back of the building which.. yes includes the bathrooms. Nothing too bad on my first night but for the New Years Party something totally disgusting came up. (Ill get to this later)

New Years Party: I was not originally scheduled to work for the party but they decided to have me come in. (Actually I was disappointed when they said I was not working). On my way to work I had to drive down Center Ridge Road behind some Jackass going 25 in a 40 zone, but I get there on time anyway. So December 31st 2007 at 7:15 pm, we have the DJ Booth Ready, and this is my first night on skate rental. Everyone was telling me that this was SOME night for a 2nd night on the job, but all in all I did just fine, and nothing too crazy happened, but thanks to everyone for looking out for me.Ben is training me (or supposed to be), he takes me back and kind of rattles off the sizes of skates really really fast, and takes off to the floor after showing me how to take care of ONE person. I'm a quick learner so it didn't hurt me too much, after a few people I found out real fast where the things were. After everyone had skates and were all settled Fred comes to send me to the back to hangout at DJ, so I go. About 5 minuets later, Ben comes and says "The boss needs you at skates" (at this point im like ??????), So I go... Then Fred walks by with a ??? look on his face, and it turns out he didn't need me up there and Ben was being a pain. (gonna have to watch out for him)

After I was all done taking care of the running around business, i got something to drink and sat back with Rexx for most of the night. Two nights later and its still in my head. IF YOU ARE ON THE DANCE FLOOR YOUR SHOES NEED TO BE OFF!!! I don't know what is so hard to understand, but we had to say it 10 million times I kid not. Other then that we watched ATL at 2am on the projector and we didn't turn off the screen saver on the computer so I had to move the mouse every ten minuets. After hearing Soulja Boy and crank that a hundred times I'm ready for session to end.

7:00 Rolls Around, and its time for cleanup. After shutting down the equipment and getting the lights on Rexx and I get out the Mop and Cleaning Cart and head to the bathrooms, and find nothing else but a flooded mens restroom, and the culprit is a urinal filled with pee to the top. (We had them bagged and the water turned off) Someone tore open the bag and had all their friends pee in the toilet until it overflowed. We get Jerry to clean it out and we re bagged them and they were supposed to fix the toilets this morning, so ill let you know how that went next time I go in. We still got done and out of there in what I'm told to be record time.(for the event) I was clocked out and in the car at 8:05.

8:30: i get home, shower, and hit the bed. I don't wake up until 5, then I went back to bed after dinner at 11:30. Im ready to do it all over again, but we will wait until next year.

Until then there is a Blackout Skate on January 12th from 7:30 - 2am (Lights out at 11) (and plenty more through the year)

Overall : the job is not hard, and it is actually fun. My attitude may change after a while but for now Its fun, and I like just about everyone there, and its been a smooth transition. Now i have some money, and work experience to boot.

More stories to come as they come in. (ill try to keep the bathroom ones to a minimum but this one had to be told.

Hello all, this is just a quick update because I am working on this site some more on the backend and also www.jdrace.com

I was out today at Great Northern Shopping Centers and it was just crazy. I got up about 11 and left with my buddy Chris to go hang out and shop some. The traffic was not bad on the way out but let me tell you we could not leave the parking lot for the life of us. I wish i could show you but its too hard to draw. If i ever get a chance to get a picture i will.

Anyway im out for now. Just everyone have a SAFE and Happy Holliday Season. And if you see a maroon 1979 malibu, get out of my way.
